Rivers and Streams

The main river running through Saddleworth is the River Tame. Many locals will have childhood memories of jumping across the stepping stones to get from one side of the river to the other at Uppermill! There are many other smaller streams and tributories including Chew Brook, by Dovestone Rservoir and Greenfield Brook which flows down from Saddleworth Moor into Greenfield Reservoir. The Saddleworth In Focus team like to take long exposures of the water to get that smooth look of movement as the water flows past.
